Content Management
We install lots of Content Management Systems (CMS) for our clients.Normally the requirement has been outsourced to us and we're working to a simple brief. Even if you don't have a proper brief then it's ok, we'll simply list off the features which you can pass on to your client to sign off against. This way everyone knows what's being delivered.
We can skin the front end with your HTML or make the HTML too; you simply supply a layered PSD or PNG.
If we do the HTML then you will be paying for validating XHTML and CSS that has been tested against various browsers and operating systems to provide a consistent user experience.
An average project for us would be:
- Reiterate requirements and check everyone knows what they're getting
- Install the CMS & configure modules
- Optional: Create HTML template and do cross browser testing
- Apply HTML
- Deploy to test (we can use your URL)
- You or your client tests and add copy
- Website/copy sign off
- Deploy live
- Optional: submit Google Sitemap and get Google Analytics set-up
- Sortable and dynamic page heirachy
- Image upload: can then be added to page content.
- File manager: upload documents (e.g. Word/PDF/Excel) and then link to these from within page content.
- News system: latest articles will appear on the homepage. Clicking though will take the user to the relevant news item within the news section. Within the news section is a list of new items grouped by month. There is also an archived list of previous years.
- Dynamic Google sitemap
- Form builder: Embed contact froms within your pages
- Editable HTML snippets
