Junior Web Developer

Are you looking for a career in online media production? Do you have some experience of XHTML/CSS and possibly want to learn PHP?

At Siftware we produce high quality internet software for our design and web agency clients. With a number of projects in the pipeline we are looking for someone to join the technical team at an entry level to be trained up fully in the ways of the web.

The successful applicant will have a passion for building usable, semantic and validating XHTML/CSS websites and will be able to prove competency in the following areas:

• XHTML/CSS hand coding
• Slicing up designs using Photoshop or Fireworks
• Common sense, initiative and a good eye for detail

Any JavaScript/AJAX will be a bonus as will exposure to PHP.

We will also consider applications from technical designers. These applicants will need to have a great (and provable) eye for design coupled with the front-end development skills listed above, but may not necessarily see their career heading any further in a technical direction.

In addition to getting excellent exposure to commercial projects we offer 20 days holiday per year, access to training and, if appropriate, we’ll push you towards getting industry recognised certifications. Remuneration for this role starts at £12,000 to £14,000 with a healthy monthly productivity bonus after a 3 months probationary period.
